Third in the portrait series looking at The Artists Tools, Andrew is a graphic designer by trade who has an innate talent as a painter, his primary interest is the human figure and the subtle intricacies of the face.
Already an avid artist in his school years he went on to study graphic design and illustration and later to complete an MA in contemporary fine art.
His preference for oil painting was seeded during a visit to Vernon Mill art gallery in Stockport where he soon acquired studio space to explore his own journey. Initially sketching with charcoals he later found a preference for oils and the human body.
